Puff’s Toy Shop hit by fraudsters
Community rallies round
Puff’s Toy Shop in Wymondham was hit by fraudster peddling fake £50 on Saturday 25 November.
The family-run shop was targeted by thieves who pressured owner Richard Harding’s 17-year-old stepson into handing over £200 worth of toys in exchange for dodgy £50 notes.
However, local residents rallied around the local top shop and a Go Fund Me page was set up to recoup the losses for the Harding family – who opened Puff’s in 2013.
A fantastic £255 was raised for Puff’s Toy Shop with the toy shop taking to Facebook to thank everyone who helped them saying: “Thank you so much for everyone’s kindness and support. We are so touched. We are lucky to be part of such a great community! You have put a smile back on our face.”
