Hamleys has a Turtles takeover
Nickelodeon’s favourite amphibians make impact on Regent Street
The new look Raph, Leo, Donnie and Mikey, a.k.a. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brought some much needed colour and humour to a wet, grey day at Hamleys flagship store on Regent Street. They met amused members of the public in their first ever UK character appearance to celebrate the launch of the exciting new toy range.
The reimagined turtles are now four different species: Ralph is a jagged-shelled snapping turtle; Leo is a red-eared slider turtle; Donnie is a soft-shell turtle and Mikey is a box turtle.
Store visitors also had the chance to participate in special ‘light-speed’ challenges; have their faces painted and watch episodes of the new Nickelodeon show in store.
People visiting Hamleys on Sunday were also be able to see the new Turtles in half hour slots on the hour from 12pm-4.30pm and participate in activities listed above.
The breathtaking merchandise includes action figures, vehicles, playsets and role play and are already some of the hottest toys on wish lists in the run-up to Christmas!
The shell-raising meet and greet follows the recent launch of the latest reimagining, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtleson Nicktoons and Channel 5.
