Flair-distributed collectable hit the number one new brand according to NPD
Less than three months after the launch of new collectable brand Pikmi Pops, licensing agent Bulldog Licensing has revealed it is the number one new brand in the UK toys market based on March NPD.
Pikmi Pops is a range of sweet-scented miniature plushies that come with surprises, packaged inside an iconic lollipop vessel! This new release from Moose Toys is taking the playground by storm. It is distributed in the UK by GP Flair and licensed by Bulldog, bringing back together all of the partners behind the smash hit Shopkins brand, which has been the biggest-girls’ brand in the UK for each of the last three years.
“For Pikmi Pops to race up to the top spot within just a few months of launch is simply astonishing,” says Bulldog Licensing Director Vicky Hill. “It underlines the huge licensing potential of a brand that already has massive appeal and awareness. Each Pikmi Pop has a host of exciting surprises inside, including one of 45 scented mini-plushies, dangler strings, cute accessories, messages and more. Pikmi Pops have become a big hit with their target market of girls aged 5 to 9, who love the quirky characters and the element of surprise when they unwrap each vessel. They also love the sweet scents, which include blueberry, peppermint, bubble-gum and chocolate.
