Mattel CEO steps down
Margo Georgiadis steps down and will be replace by Maker Studios' Ynon Kreiz
Mattel CEO Margo Georgiadis is to step down after just 14 months in the job.
The company said she is leaving to pursue a "new opportunity in the technology sector", with Ancestry.com separately confirming she would be joining the family history site. She will remain with Mattel in an advisory capacity until 10 May, and will sit in on the company's Q1 conference call next week.
The outgoing chief executive will be replaced by Ynon Kreiz, who joins the toy company from Disney's Maker Studios.
