Former MI5 Director General to speak at Toy Industry Day
Dame Stella Rimington DCB MA will talk at the BTHA and TRA Indsutry Day in June
Dame Stella Rimington, former Director General of the Security Service (MI5), has been exclusively secured as a speaker for the upcoming Toy Industry Day, taking place at Great Fosters Hotel in Surrey on Wednesday 27 June.
She was the first woman to take the post and the first person to be publicly named while in office, and will share her insights on her life and career, where she led MI5 throughout a time of unprecedented change when the world encountered new threats and challenges, while offering delegates the exclusive opportunity to pose their questions.

Attendees will also hear from Don Williams, Partner – Retail Sector at KPMG UK, who will deliver a presentation on current retail trends and the trading environment.
The BTHA and TRA AGM will take place at 9.30am with the Industry Day commencing at 10.15am. In addition to the fantastic keynote speakers, the Toy Industry Day provides an unrivalled opportunity to network with industry peers in a fantastic setting and enjoy a delicious three course lunch in Great Fosters’ atmospheric Tithe Barn. The day’s events will finish by 3pm.
