Teams with YouTube star Amazing Arabella and SuperAwesome to promote online safety day

MGA Entertainment’s L.O.L. Surprise! is celebrating Safer Internet Day today (6 Feb) across its digital platforms, helping to raise awareness of the importance of online safety and communicate messages of advice to its audience.

In partnership with L.O.L. Surprise!, Amazing Arabella, YouTube star and advocate of online responsibility, will share a video about best practice online, including top tips such as not sharing personal details and keeping privacy settings high. The video will be shared on Amazing Arabella’s YouTube channel, across the L.O.L. Surprise! social channels and over on PopJam in its What’s Hot section, as well as 2.3 million PopJammers.

Andrew Laughton, MGA Entertainment's Manager Director, said: “As such a popular brand, and one aimed at the YouTube generation, L.O.L. Surprise! has a responsibility to share and support the message of internet safety. We hope that by working with such a high-profile influencer and a channel aimed at children, this will communicate the key messages and top tips for staying safe online to kids far and wide on Safer Internet Day. For L.O.L. Surprise! This will be the first of many campaigns aimed at educating children on using the web in a fun and safe way.”

Fans are encouraged to get involved in making the internet a positive and safe place, using the hashtag #SID2018 and completing the themed Daily Challenge over on PopJam.

Amazing Arabella, said: “I am thrilled to be working alongside L.O.L. Surprise! to celebrate Safer Internet Day, I feel that as a children's content creator and a voice to children, it is so important for me that children and young people understand how to keep safer on the internet!”

L.O.L. Surprise!’s activity for Safer Internet Day marks the first of a series of digital campaigns being delivered by the brand this year which aim to educate its audience on digital skills, safety and creativity.

Safer Internet Day looks to encourage organisations, brands and individuals to come together and inspire conversation about being responsible online. Click here for more information.
