Botley stars on BBC Breakfast
Learning Resources's coding robot wows BBC Breakfast's Steph McGovern
Learning Resources's new coding robot Botley proved a huge hit at London Toy Fair, where he appeared on BBC Breakfast with Steph McGovern.
MD Dennis Blackmore was interviewed on the morning breakfast show, but Botley the Coding Robot was the star of the show as he was demonstrated.
Botley was unveiled at the 2018 London Toy Fair and was also chosen as one of the BTHA's Toy Fair's Hero Toys, a small selection of toys they felt represent some of the most exciting and innovative products launched at the show. Botley is designed to teach hands-on STEM skills to children as young as age five, providing hands-on exposure to fundamental coding concepts in a fun way that helps kids learn through play. Botley is 100-percent screen free, and does not require the use of a smartphone or tablet.
Dennis said: "We are delighted that both the Toy Fair and BBC Breakfast recognised Botley’s special qualities and potential. Botley is both fun and educational in the tradition of all our toys and games at Learning Resources. Designed to introduce boys and girls as young as five years old to coding and simple programming, Botley’s usefulness grows as the child’s learning grows "
