Poundworld CEO steps down
Gerry Gray exits company after less than two years in the role
Poundworld CEO Gerry Gray has stepped down, citing personal reasons for the resignation, according to Retail Week.
Gerry became boss of the value retailer in March 2016, replacing founder Chris Edwards.
Reports suggest Executive Chairman Steve Johnson will take over as interim Chief Executive until a suitable replacement is found
He said Gerry had made "a great contribution" to the retailer in his tenure, overseeing "significant progress."
"We would like to thank him for his leadership and wish him every success in the future," he added.
