Toys R Us to close quarter of UK stores
Around 25 locations set to close in the new year
Toy retailer Toys R Us is reportedly set to shut a quarter of its 105 UK stores.
The company is expected to announce a company voluntary arrangement this week to allow it to shut stores with protection from the business' creditors, although reports from The Telegraph suggest all stores will remain open for business throughout the busy Christmas period.
The closures could affect up to 800 jobs, according to company insiders.
The news follows a chapter 11 bankruptcy filing for Toys R Us ' US business in October. The retailer said at the time the move would have no impact on its UK operation.
