Character sales balloon thanks to Oonies
The creative range from Moose lets kids use inflatable mini balloons to create their own characters and challenges
Character Options has reported massive opening sales for its one-of-a-kind Oonies range.
The unique creative Moose property mesmerises kids with inflatable mini balloons that magically stick together, creating fun characters, cool games and challenges. The range, launched in August, has had a flying start.
Mark Hunt, Marketing Manager at Character Options, said: “Oonies offer kids a completely new play pattern; it’s like no other toy. It has captivated the core audience and that has been fundamental to its success. Sales prior to our marketing campaign were impressive, but now we are advertising it has really taken off. Our plan features TV, kids’ press, mummy influencers and unboxing which has enhanced the overall appeal for the brand, demand is extremely high!”
Further proving its popularity, Oonies starred in a dedicated video by top YouTuber Tiana and her channel Toys AndMe, which has amassed over 2.5 million views to date. As a part of an extensive global influencer strategy Oonies videos are now prevalent on YouTube. Added to high profile exposure online, Oonies is benefitting from extended TV presence throughout the season.
