Molang launch event a hit at Harrods
Weekend launch event at the famous department store's Toy Kingdom kick starts the brand that's hotly tipped for Christmas success
Tomy launched its exciting new Moland range at Harrod's Toy Kingdom over the weekend, with a party celebrating the "happiness property".
Taking place on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September, the weekend launch event brought the exciting new range from Tomy and Millimages to life with retail theatre, as consumers celebrated the friendship with Molang and Piu Piu.
Visitors to the Toy Kingdom at Harrods were with the chance to play dress-up in the Molang inspired photo-booth and send a postcard to their best friend. There was also special appearances from the Molang and Piu Piu character costume, who was on-hand throughout the weekend to meet fans and pose for pictures.
As master licensee, Tomy’s collection is based around the popular animation aired on both Cartoonito and Boomerang. The range consists of collectible, basic and feature plush toys, core figures assortments and a playset that encourage role-play activity and emotional connections to Molang.
Severine Hemms, Senior Trade Marketing Manager at Tomy said: “What better place to celebrate the friendship than at the world’s most famous department store? Molang is a special brand in that it appeals to pre-schoolers around the world as well as tweens, teenagers and older fans. We’re expecting the range to be a huge success at Harrods, with strong sales ahead and throughout the Christmas season.”
The Molang range from Tomy holds the Good Toy Guide stamp of approval from Fundamentally Children. All toys that feature the stamp have been independently tested on their fun factor, ease of use and skills development features.
