Learning Resources hits the Science Museum
Popular demo workshops return to the Science Museum Shop for summer holidays
On Monday 31 July, Learning Resources kicked off its popular summer holiday demonstration sessions at London’s Science Museum Shop.
Back by popular demand, these hands-on workshops let young visitors and their families get close up to the company’s best-selling science toys and activity sets. Experiments from the company’s popular Primary Science Lab Set wowed young learners as volcanoes erupted with brightly coloured lava. The bright blue Code & Go Robot Mouse soon had kids practising their coding skills while the Zoomy 2.0 Handheld Digital Microscope gave them a fascinating close-up to everything from skin to fabrics. Meanwhile the craze for Playfoam continued and there were soon queues at the counters to buy more colourful, creative, mess-free fun.
“We are delighted to collaborate with The Science Museum and support their shop sales during their busy summer period," said Learning Resources’ Sales Manager, Chris Beardmore. "It’s very rewarding to see the children’s reactions to science experiments as they build their understanding and discover new things. Playfoam was a big hit with parents and children; they couldn’t walk past it without picking it up!”
The Science Museum Shop’s Retail Operations Manager, Kevin Brown, added: “It’s great to work with Learning Resources on these summer workshops. They really help to bring the products to life for our visitors at this popular time of the year.”
Events run throughout the holidays on Wednesday 9, 16 and 23 of August.
