Bigjigs Toys Ltd has unveiled an innovative new distribution brand Lexie Mouse which includes a collection of fun educational books for children with dyslexia.

All books are printed in a unique font called Dyselxie Font, developed by Dr Christian Boer, a dyslexic himself, Christian set out to create a font that would make reading a less arduous task for all. The result is the award-winning new typeface Dyslexie Font - a revolutionary font, designed to simplify life for those who have dyslexia.

The Lexie Mouse range will introduce a new range of characters which children will come to recognise and love as they learn to read at ease at home or in the classroom.

Lexie Mouse Design and Dyslexie Font B.V have teamed up together to create a wide range of children’s phonics and reading books for the educational, trade and retail markets, which are aimed at dyslexic, SEN and non-dyslexic children.

Bigjigs Toys will distribute an array of children’s books featuring new characters in each of the different titles. Readers regardless of ability will progressively master the basics of reading at home or in the classroom and progress through the learning stages of KS1 and KS2, from pre-readers all the way through to phase 9.

Liz Ireland, Director says: “While books are a new avenue for the Company, Bigjigs Toys and Lexie Mouse are a great combination. Together we will make a delightful range of attractive reading material available to the market and we relish the challenges the future may bring.” Meanwhile, Lexie Mouse Design adds: "We are delighted to be working in partnership with Bigjigs Toys, our shared values around innovation, performance and integrity offer the perfect foundation for a perfect partnership, we look forward to a long working relationship".
