The bucolic pre-school brand is celebrating a strong year of growth with new consumer product launches on the horizon

Tractor Ted has reported a substantial uplift in sales for 2015, with 30 percent growth against the same period in 2014. All areas of the business for the year, from trade to internet, are showing significant growth compared with 2014.

The brand is on track to deliver its strongest year to date due to a combination of a recently launched major commercial partnership with Nickelodeon UK, and a targeted marketing, sales and events campaign throughout 2014.

To mark a hugely successful 2015, the company is offering a reduction in carriage paid orders and added value fun for trade accounts up to Christmas.

Alexandra Heard, Sales and Creative Director, explained: “We are delighted with the results for 2015 with growth currently sitting at 30% against the same period in 2014. The commercial media partnership with Nick Jr. is already paying dividends and we have recently signed up with Rockpool Licensing to look at licensing opportunities for 2016 and beyond.

“What is particularly pleasing is the response that our customers and retailers have had to our increase in marketing and live events during 2015. We have made particular effort to really support our retailers during 2015 through the launch of a UK events tour and some fun added value POS including themed activity trails, floor stickers and interactive activity walls.

“This seems to have really worked as retailers appreciate the added interactive activity and our customers love the opportunity to get close to what Tractor Ted is all about; real life farming fun.

“New product lines, including a new range of Tractor Ted toys, gifts and homeware, are already well under way with launches of new products planned for both Toy Fair and Spring Fair. We are also expanding attraction development with some very positive feedback on potential new venues as well as existing venues confirming a 10% increase in visitor numbers over the 2015 visitor season.

“We’re keen to continue to strengthen all of our relationships and have reduced carriage paid to just £150 for our retailers on all orders up to Christmas. This, in line with trade offers and free event and store support, including Christmas activity trails, stickers and posters, is part of the holistic approach we apply to all areas of our business in terms of marketing support and added value.

“We’re now just working on how to make it even bigger and better for 2016!” she added.
