Octonauts get on board with LeapFrog
Partnership will bring scientific learning game featuring the aquatic TV characters to LeapPads
New Octonauts Learning Game helps children build fundamental scientific skills with some of children's favourite TV characters
LeapFrog, the leader in educational entertainment, has partnered with Silvergate Media, the creative TV production and licensing company behind Peter Rabbit and Octonauts. The partnership sees two brands that are passionate about providing engaging, entertaining, and educational experiences for children, join forces to release the action-packed Octonauts Learning Game, which teaches and reinforces early science concepts.
The new game, aimed at three to five-year-olds, helps children develop their knowledge of ocean science, life science and ecosystems through using signature Octonauts’ gadgets to clear obstacles and more. Players can take on missions lead by Captain Barnacles, ride along with Kwazii to rescue sea stars and help Peso treat injured sea creatures by bandaging bruises and giving medicine. Young explorers will build critical thinking skills along the way, key to developing confidence and understanding in the early stages of science.
Little learners will also learn about sea creatures and explore different ocean habitats while listening to creature sounds and viewing real photographs from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)’s Office of Ocean Exploration and Research (OER), improving key problem solving skills.
The game is available now from LeapFrog’s award-winning Learning Library of world-class games and apps, which have all been designed or approved by LeapFrog’s in-house team of learning experts. Children can enjoy playing the game on any LeapPad, the number one family of tablets for children (NPD, August 2014). The latest additions, LeapPad3 and LeapPad Ultra XDi, launched this summer and have been designed to provide children with the perfect combination of performance, durability and safety in their first tablet.
